Refund and Cancellation Policy

Payments are not currently enabled. These rules describe the intended minimum protections when live funding opens; checkout and campaign terms will provide transaction-specific details.

Failed funding

If an all-or-nothing Build does not reach its funding threshold, the backer is not charged. A temporary authorization, if any, may take time to disappear according to the card issuer.

Cancellation before funding

Where the checkout flow permits, a backer may cancel before the funding deadline and before a successful Build is locked. The applicable Build page will disclose any different rule before commitment.

Delay or inability to deliver

If a funded Build cannot be delivered by the stated date, Build Backers will provide notice before that date when reasonably possible and offer a revised date, a full refund including applicable taxes, fees, and shipping, or an equal-or-greater substitute where lawful and accepted. If consent to a revised date is required and the backer does not respond within 30 days, the order will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Other refund circumstances

A full refund will be provided for a charge made in error, production that cannot proceed, material misrepresentation, or another circumstance where law or the campaign terms require it. A production reserve or creator payout arrangement never prevents a refund Build Backers legally owes.

Made-to-order goods and change of mind

After successful funding and production commitment, change-of-mind refunds for customized or made-to-order items may be unavailable except where required by law or expressly offered for the Build.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless law or payment-provider rules require otherwise. Bank processing times vary. Nothing in this policy limits a non-waivable consumer right.
