Build Backers is for artists, makers, and designers creating original physical work. You keep the creative control; we help structure the Build Plan, the Build Slots, and a launch that backers can trust.
How it works for you
- Submit a Vision — your original physical Build, in any medium.
- We review the Build Plan — materials, pricing, production method, fulfilment, and timeline, so backers fund something deliverable.
- Set your Build Slots — up to four costed, reviewed slots (or a Backer Ladder for a one-off work).
- Launch and build — once approved, your First Run or One-Off Build is presented to backers; post updates as you make it.
You control the idea, the object, the story, the edition size, and whether it’s signed or numbered. Build Backers controls only what is needed to keep a Build launchable, safe, and fair to backers.
What to prepare
- A clear description and images of the original physical work.
- Materials, production method, proposed quantity, and realistic costs.
- A practical production window and shipping, pickup, or installation path.
- Evidence that you own or are permitted to use every design, image, mark, and likeness.
Before funding opens
Submitting a Vision is free. Payments are not currently enabled. Before a Build can collect funds, its creator will receive and accept the applicable campaign terms covering platform fees, payment timing, reserves, refunds, taxes, production, shipping, and fulfilment responsibilities. Review timing depends on the Build’s complexity and whether the first submission contains enough information for a reliable Build Plan.
