Backer Terms

These Backer Terms supplement the Terms of Service. Payments are not currently enabled.

Backing a Build

When enabled, backing will be a conditional pre-purchase or support payment for the specific Build Slot selected. It is not an investment, donation, subscription, equity interest, profit share, or ownership stake. You receive only the item, recognition, or benefit described for that slot.

Funding and charges

The intended funding model is all-or-nothing: payment details may be authorized or saved when you back, but your card is charged only if the Build reaches its stated threshold under the campaign terms. If the threshold is not reached, there is no charge. The checkout screen will control if it states a different legally permitted process.

Review before backing

Review the Build description, selected slot, whether a physical item is included, quantity limits, estimated Build Window, shipping or pickup method, refund terms, and risk disclosures. Build Backers’ review reduces risk but does not guarantee funding, production, timing, or a particular result.

Your responsibilities

Provide accurate account, payment, delivery, and contact information; keep it updated; use chargebacks only for legitimate disputes after contacting us; and do not attempt to manipulate funding, inventory, or platform controls.

Changes, delays, and refunds

Physical production may change or be delayed. Material changes will be communicated. Cancellation and refund rights are governed by the campaign-specific terms and our Refund Policy, without limiting non-waivable rights.
