Creator Terms

These Creator Terms supplement the Terms of Service and apply to creator accounts, Visions, Build Plans, Build Slots, campaign content, and production updates.

Creator promises

You promise that submissions are accurate, original or properly licensed, lawful, safe, and realistically producible; that cost, timeline, material, quantity, and fulfilment information is supplied in good faith; and that claims about prototypes, images, testing, scarcity, signatures, numbering, provenance, and delivery are truthful.

Rights and limited licence

You retain ownership of your work. You grant Build Backers and approved fabricators a limited, non-exclusive licence to review, quote, format, host, market, photograph, document, produce, and fulfil the approved Build and authorized First Run. This does not authorize production beyond the approved Build Plan without written agreement.

Intellectual property and safety

You must own or have documented permission for copyrights, trademarks, patents, designs, likenesses, music, text, images, and other material used. You are responsible for applicable product, labelling, consumer-safety, and regulatory requirements. Build Backers approval is not independent intellectual-property or legal clearance.

Review and cooperation

Build Backers may request evidence, samples, prototypes, quotes, revisions, insurance, safety documentation, or production information. You must cooperate with review, production, fulfilment, support, refund, recall, and dispute work and communicate material problems promptly through official channels.

Launch, withdrawal, and changes

A Build cannot launch until the creator is approved and the Build Plan receives required sign-offs. We may reject, pause, modify, cancel, or remove a Build when risk, accuracy, rights, safety, production, fulfilment, or legal concerns require it. Once funding begins, withdrawal or material change requires written approval and must respect backer rights.

Payments and reserves

Payments are not currently enabled. Before they are enabled, creators will receive campaign-specific terms covering fees, payment timing, reserves, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, production, and fulfilment. No payout is owed merely because a Vision or Build Plan is approved.

Responsibility for creator-caused claims

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and third-party claims arising from your breach of these Creator Terms, infringement, unlawful content, material misrepresentation, or defects attributable to your submission or unauthorized production, including reasonable defence costs. This does not shift responsibility for Build Backers’ own misconduct.
