Pennyworth LLC d/b/a Build Backers is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies to buildbackers.com, creator submissions, account tools, launch notifications, support, and trust-and-safety reports.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, name, hashed password, account role, approval state, and account activity.
• Creator and Build information: studio profile, biography, links, images, Vision details, Build Plans, Build Slots, production updates, and related communications.
• Communications: support messages, reports, notification consent, and correspondence.
• Technical information: IP address, request and security logs, browser or device information, timestamps, referring pages, and essential cookie data.
• Payment and fulfilment information: if payments are enabled later, transaction, shipping, tax, and fulfilment information needed to operate a Build. Card details will be handled by the payment processor and will not be stored by Build Backers.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure accounts; review creators, Visions, and Build Plans; publish approved Builds; respond to support and safety reports; send messages a person requested; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain records; comply with law; and improve platform reliability.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with hosting, database, email, monitoring, payment, tax, fabrication, shipping, professional-adviser, and security providers only as reasonably needed for their work; with other parties at your direction; or when required to protect rights, safety, the platform, or comply with law. Public creator and approved Build content is visible to site visitors.

Cookies and similar technology

The site currently uses essential security and session cookies needed for CSRF protection, authentication, and account operation. If optional analytics or advertising technology is introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before use.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including account operation, Build review and fulfilment, fraud prevention, legal, tax, accounting, backup, and dispute requirements. Retention varies by record type. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal and backup obligations.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, CSRF protection, backups, and restricted administration. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may update account information, unsubscribe from optional launch emails, or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Some information may be retained when legally or operationally required. Submit a request through the contact form or email privacy@buildbackers.com. We may need to verify your identity.

Children

Build Backers is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.

Changes and contact
